When we trust in Jesus, life always eventually triumphs over death...but not always when or how we want it to. The good news is that Jesus is present with us in the pain of grief and loss.
"When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, 'Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.' When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. What are the prayers you have prayed to which God has said "no" or "not yet"? We cannot avoid trials, but we can choose how to respond to them.

Psalm 16 teaches us that following a beautiful Savior leads to beautiful relationships, beautiful families, and ultimately, a beautiful life.
